Funeral services for Lillard Tallant, age 82, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Doyle Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Lewis Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Lillard passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at NHC Cookeville in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born Monday, July 5, 1937 in Franklin, Tennessee to the late Robert Alvis Tallant and Louella Anderson Tallant. Lillard was a retired Mechanic at Pepsi-Cola. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Ruth Whitefield Tallant, and two brothers, Robert Lewis Tallant and David Walter Tallant. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Leffew Tallant; four children, William Tallant and wife Patrice of Fort Gratiot, MI, Bonnie Duncan and husband William of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, Lu Geller and husband Stephen of Clinton Township, MI and Christopher Tallant and wife Marissa of Center Line, MI; two stepchildren, Princeton Ball and wife Debra, and Donna Denny and husband Willard of Cookeville; sister, Mary Lou Pike of Sparta, TN; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
